Spirituality disciplined
It's time to get real and talk about what it means to be truly spiritually disciplined and how this is the only way we together are going to quicken this planet's awakening process. What's required is YOUR EXCELLENCE (divine embodiment /self-realization).
β¨ I'm not saying that Divine grace isn't applied unless we become spiritual masters (experts, not perfect only God is perfect).
β¨ I'm not saying this is accomplished in a day. Relax. Just take it ONE STEP AT A TIME. These practices are to make your life EASIER, not harder but it may not feel that way at first.
πWhat I AM saying is that we only pretend to be devotees to the Supreme Lord / Christ / Source if all of our efforts are meager, powerless, and uninspiring. Constantly dwelling on your sinfulness will make you absolutely USELESS, like a moping muppet on marijuana.
πWhat I AM saying, is that MORE is required of us to actually CHANGE this world. We have a responsibility to be OUR BEST. This message is for all genuine spiritual seekers. I don't care what you believe.
Let me say this which I believe this whole heartedly:
π A complete devotion to God is going to result in energy mastery with time (not perfection), righteous living, peace and joy, and power and confidence.
(Many of us love God, but don't know how to break through barriers)π
So what are the spiritual disciplines? I'm going to list the 4 that are generally followed in the west, and the 3 that are absolutely required to actually help you optimally perform the first four and are not practiced:
1. Study of Sacred Scriptures -
I believe God essentially used prophets, and wise/righteous devotees as channels to impute His/Her divine truths into this world, including direct divine manifestations (like Christ and Krishna). Through the study of these texts we learn the gnosis (knowledge) we need to mature spiritually not merely physically. If it's not in you, you can't give it to others. A devotee must study and engage the mind and intellect.
2. Prayer -
This is obvious. Relationship and intention are foundational universal laws that must be utilized on the spiritual path. I think the only thing to emphasize here is the importance of asking with pure intent, wisdom and with conviction/faith behind it, so the other disciplines can help you improve your praying.
3. Worship/Chanting -
If you know anything about Near Death Experience's you'll discover very quickly that music/sound is literally everywhere on the other side. It is fundamental to the nature of God and to tune into Divine realms here, we must connect with the Divine frequency through song/hymns. It's important to note that the best music to listen to actually calms the mind and activates the heart center which is absolutely required. Music for spiritual ascension specifically should have these qualities. Pop worship is OK as a supplement but not as your primary source of music.
4. Righteous Living/Behavior Modification-
In Christian traditions this is called sanctification, and in Eastern traditions this is called Suddi(purification) or Dharma (duty). I think this is pretty straightforward. Love yourself and others with excellence and break through bad habits, characteristics on your path towards purification.
AND THE FORGOTTEN THREE TO HELP YOU POWERFULLY PRACTICE 1 THROUGH 4:
5. Meditation/Introspection -
I bundled these two together because they both have to essential deal with becoming the soul/ higher self/ observer (born again) rather than just merely the physical body/ animal nature/ ego. You must 1) learn to focus your mind excellently so your mind works to help you on your journey and not hinder you, and 2) you must watch all your thoughts and reactions as the OBSERVER so everything you do is accounted for. When you KNOW yourself then you'll know what to change so you improve. The goal is to make everything conscious (so that you're aware of everything concerning you) so that you are in a position of knowledge and power to command your consciousness to serve God instead of walking around in the dark, lost, dazed and confused.
6. Energy control/Pranayama -
Breathing techniques taught in the East are extremely helpful to use the autonomic nervous system to HELP us as we consciously manipulate it to assist us succeed in the other spiritual disciplines instead of letting the circumstances of life manipulate your body/ energy /breathing. ONE EXAMPLE: let's say you are really angry at someone and you are tempted to say something and it's overwhelming. You can take control of your emotional state with a combination of the fire breath (for example) and intense concentration on the point between your eyebrows (high above and away from the lower energy bodily levels of conciousness felt in the body below.
7. Affirmations/Mantras -
It's important to rewire your brain. Your conciousness has been telling yourself a story your whole life and this has been implanted into your subconsciousness. In order to purify your subconscious -- for example, starting to tell yourself that you are smart enough for what God has called you for (your soul plan) instead of becoming discouraged that you may not be as intelligent as YOU want to be, or perhaps that you can grow intellectually! Affirmations are you change subconscious programs into programs that will assist and propel you to be joyful and successful on your spiritual path. Introspection will allow you to find the affirmations that you need.
All of the disciplines are needed as they all help and assist each other.
If we are going to change this world we can't half ass our devotion to God and unfortunately this has been the situation for the majority. So my goal is to practice these myself and teach these disciplines to EVERYONE.
